Prayer Points:

  1. Thank God for everything He has done throughout the year(s). (Ps 100:4)
  2. Pray for forgiveness of our personal and collective sin as God’s people (2 Chronicles 7:14)
  3. Pray for forgiveness of our personal and collective sin… for cleansing from all unrighteousness ( 1 John 1:7-10)
  4. Pray for God to forgive the sin of our fathers and leaders (Nehemiah 9:1-3)
  5. Pray for unity amongst people in our nation (Psalm 133)
  6. Pray for God’s kingdom to come and His will to be done on earth - in the nations, communities, our lives (Matt 6:10,33)
  7. Pray against the spirit of hatred and violence; For God to root out evil, and for God’s love to fill the heart of all people ( 1 Corinthians 13:13)
  8. Pray against the plan of domestic and international terror groups. That God will frustrate and foil their plans, and bring them to justice (Ephesians 6:12,16)
  9. Pray for God to execute justice for those that have been murdered and subject of injustice in our nation and the world (Amos 5:24)
  10. Pray for peace in our nation and the world (2 Timothy 2:1-3)
  11. Pray for the welfare of our nation (Jeremiah 29:7)
  12. Pray for supernatural knowledge and divine revelation – for our spiritual eyes, ears, and hearts to fully comprehend the things God has for us (1 Corinthians 2:9-12)
  13. Pray for God’s favor - goodness, mercy, and compassion in this season ( Titus 3:5,7)
  14. Ask God to arise on our behalf and deliver us from every form of disadvantage, slavery, bondage. (Psalm 68, Mark 3:27)
  15. Pray for deliverance and immunity from sickness, lack, pain, wrong thinking, unhelpful habits, ungodly desires etc. (Obadiah 1:17)
  16. Pray for a restoration from any form of loss, injustice, bondage, curse, error, mistake… (Joel 2:25)
  17. Pray about specific issues in our nation and cities as the Spirit leads (Romans 8:26)
  18. Pray for our political leaders...that their decisions are guided by the biblical principles upon which this country was founded (2 Timothy 2:1-4)
  19. Pray for pastors, ministers, and church leadership that they will be led by God to contend for the faith (Jude 3-4)
  20. Pray for God to elevate, glorify and release favor on the Church (Isaiah 2:2-3)

Summary:  An analysis of Jesus’ first word on the cross, as set forth in Luke 23:34, teaches us about forgiveness.   Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing” ( Luke 23:34 ).
