WHAT HAPPENS IN THE SPIRITUAL REALM WHEN WE FAST AND PRAY





 Introduction Prayer:

Dear God,

We are gathered here for your grace. Bestow on us the strength to worship you today. Speak through me and let your Will prevail in Jesus Name, Amen.

Tell your neighbor: :You are not hungry yet" Are you?

For the moment you start Fasting, the hunger starts coming. That's the devil's strategy to discourage you. Be strong, Yes, You can. Praise His Holy Name.

We are into the 13th Day of 21 Days of Fasting and Prayers, which simply means our Intentional devotions and concentration on God. Congratulations!

Around the world many religious people fast. Moslems fast, i think the major one is 40 days, Buddhists Fast, Hindu People Fast, the Jews also Fast and other religions fast in variations and according to religious requirements and demands. So as Christians, we are not sidelined.

It is very important that as believers, we need to take and give Fasting and Prayers the importance it occupies on our calendar.

In the Old Testament, according to Exodus 17, we are told of a story of Moses' significant role in the war between the Israelites and the Amalekites.  His physical obedience in Lifting the alms brought Spiritual Release leading to the former's vanquished ( defeat). 

Hebrews 1 Mentions Angels.

Jesus example of 40 days of fasting and prayer gives us a model to do extensive Fasting. 

In Contemporary World, everything has been reduced to Feelings and Intellect, including in the church. In fact, we are expressing everything as Internal Stuff. But Can we continue to sustain such things in certain areas of human dispensation without  physical actions?  For example , can we tell our wives/husbands or families that we love them INTERNALLY without being physical?  Definitely anyone contemplating of doing that is preparing for his /her own doom or demise.

There is a saying, Higher Levels-Higher Devils.....though this saying holds credence, are we not giving the Devil too much credits glorification?  

Let me ask you this question?  Who gets more Protection in the army?  The General or the Private?

To me personally, I see it, as The greater your assignment, the more your protection, when you do something physical. 

Let's turn to Daniel 10- where Daniel Fast is chronicled in the Scriptures. Daniel's Story is a Story of Sacrifice and Obedience to God.

And it demonstrates very clearly how Fasting and Prayer ( Physical Actions affect the Special Realm)

When Daniel Fasted, the Lord according to Daniel 10:11 responded with O Daniel, Man Greatly Desired (READ).

The Daniel Experience brings us to the difference between God's Love and Favor.

God's Love is 100% full ,24/7 and is free. We dont earn it by our actions.

On the other hand, God's Favor is a given gift, and its increases depends on our stewardship, thus we have to sacrifice and obey God by connecting with Him by doing something. Until we do certain things, we cannot get God's special attention.

We can't buy more of God's favor but we can get more of it with our sacrifices and obedience. Like Evangelist Patrick said yesterday and assigned Princess the role of being an Obedient Prayer Intercessor, our intentional sacrifice of disconnecting with the world of pleasant things especially food indicates to God our obedience to Him that triggers big Favors.

Illustration, the story of a Texas Pastor who was becoming toxic with his words and commissioned by God to fast for 3 days, and it included Soul Fasting of Not talking to any body, No Phone Call, No Communication. At the end of the Fasting and Prayers, his communication skills greatly improved and it enhanced his work.

What are you personally asking God to empower you on, heal you on?

Simply put....Fasting is Intentional Disconnection from the World and Connecting with the Lord for Spiritual empowerment over things beyond our control.

Heavenly Father, Glorious Redeemer, Magnificent Creator,

King of Kings, Lord of Lords, Ancient Power of Powers, Universal Overseer

Omnipotent, Invisible and Immortal God. We release a great Praise


Lord we give you our future

Lord we give you our life

Lord we give you our praise

Lord we look to you, we trust you

Lord, we need you, we greatly need you

We stand with confidence in you

We are fearless because of you


We receive Today Protection

We receive Today Provisions

We receive Today Promises

We receive Today Peace

We receive Today Help

We receive Today Healing

We receive Today Miracle, Help from Heaven

We receive Today, Angelic Protection, Grace, Mercy and Blessings on our lives in Jesus Mighty Name

Thy Kingdom Come, Thy Will be done on  earth as it is done in Heaven
